Georgioupolis is situated between the cities of Chania and Rethymnon (35 km from Chania, 25 km from Rethymnon). Georgioupolis is now a popular holiday resort with a long beach stretching for several Km. Georgioupolis was a fishing village 20 years ago and has a nice little fishing harbour where you can see many little fishing boats. In recent years Georgioupolis been transformed somewhat but has still not lost much of it's original charm and tranquillity
