I have just been reading reviews on the Almond Beach Village and can"t believe some of the things people have said.
Eleven of us went in December 2004 for my wedding.
In December, we didn"t experience any problems with dirt, salmonella etc.

The Almond Beach Village Hotel is set in 32 acres; this former sugar plantation is surrounded by lush tropical plants, a Sugar Mill and over one mile of white sandy beach. The hotel is on the west coast approximately 30 minutes from the capital, Bridgetown. With effect from December 1st 2006, the Barbados airport departure tax will increase to 55.00 Bajan dollars for persons of 12 years and over who have been in Barbados more than 24 hours. This Hotel will appeal to couples and families looking for beachfront accommodation in a typical Caribbean setting and is perfect for holidays in Barbados. The hotel has over 350 guestrooms spread across 3 floors and decorated using tropical fabrics, with two poster beds and mahogany stained furniture.
