Oman is a stunning contrast of deserts, mountains, and beaches with all the comforts of a bustling, modern metropolis. Located on the Indian Ocean coast, Oman is the oldest state in Arabia tracing its history back thousands of years. Home of Sinbad the Sailor and the biblical Frankincense trade, the Sultanate was one of the earliest nations to establish relations with the west and today, after nearly two centuries of friendship, and westerners enjoy a warm welcome. With spectacular wild life and many things to see you�ll never have a dull moment in Oman. Muscat, the old port area, is the site of the sultan's main palace and a fascinating place to wander around, but has few shops and sights except for the old city walls. There are also many water sports that you can enjoy, but if its relaxation you want then this is the place for you. Lie on the beach soaking up the sun and enjoying a cold drink. Afterwards enjoy a gorgeous meal out in one of the many fantastic restaurants
