| Afandou lies on the east coast about 20 miles from the airport at Rhodes. A traditional village that is now enjoying a limited amount of expansion, small hotel and apartment blocks tend to make up the bulk of accommodation. The beach is a good walk from the centre, and the stony surface makes you wonder if it was worth it. Not a great deal of shopping variety can be found here, with only the odd supermarket and souvenir shop to cater for your holiday needs. Some bars and tavernas will provide a certain amount of entertainment, but all in all, this is a place to go for some peace and quiet. | |
