Magnificently set in the heart of unspoilt countryside, this handsome villa profits from an entrancing view and a lovely climate. Neither low enough to lose the view, nor high enough to enter the clouds, this villa enjoys refreshing breezes in the summer when the coast below is sweltering. The beautiful swimming pool is equally refreshing and as the villa has been designed for easy living, holidays here can be especially relaxing. On a natural terrace fringed by pines and cork oaks, A Senhora da Montanha looks over the wooded foothills of the Serra de Monchique towards the sea. The huge sun terrace by the pool and the veranda which fronts the villa benefit especially from the view, as does the airy sitting room. Split levels and marble floors add distinction to a very comfortable interior, whilst two big fridge-freezers in the kitchen mean that you can stock up fully in Monchique (under 4km away along the partly unsurfaced road) and then laze the rest of your holiday away, with barbecues by the pool and no shortage of cool drinks. Of course, if you prefer, there is plenty to do - beach trips, hikes up to Picota peak or down to Caldas, excursions to lovely Silves or the wild west coast and no shortage of restaurants within a short drive; the choice is yours. | |
