Address: Cargese, Corsica, France
A Leccia is a very comfortable and well-positioned house, which delights guests with its space, comfort and lovely sea views. Set in an extensive and enchanting flower-filled garden, with views over the gentle hillside to nearby Pero Beach, A Leccia is perfectly placed for enjoying a beautiful setting whilst being close both to the beach (a ten-minute walk away - there is also a tennis court within walking distance) and to the centre of Cargese (under 1km). Very attractive and particularly well-maintained, the villa is distinguished by apricot-coloured walls covered in roses. Fronting the house is a large terrace, with canopies to provide shade from the sun. Sunloungers and a large dining table make this the ideal spot either for relaxing or eating al fresco. Sliding picture windows open from the terrace into the very comfortable living-dining room furnished in good, solid French provincial style. The kitchen is beautifully fitted and very well equipped. There are three bedrooms, a bathroom with WC and a further separate WC. The owners, the Giannardis, who live discreetly in an adjoining apartment during the summer, ensure that the garden is well-kept and that A Leccia has so much of the comfort and feel of a real home. Cargese is so relaxing and the beaches so impressive, however, that it would be hard, especially perhaps for families with small children, to leave the seaside too often. On glorious Pero Beach, the closest of Cargeses three beaches (1km away), a couple of attractive summertime cafe-restaurants serve delicious food, as well as ice-creams and cool drinks. Chiuni Beach, about 6km north of Cargese, is equally lovely and within a reasonable drive are yet more seemingly limitless expanses of unspoilt sand, from Arone to the north to Sagone to the south, all backed by dramatic mountain landscapes. |
