The Katia Beach Aparthotel is in a pleasant location, 50 metres from the pebble beach and a mile from the centre of the village. The village was once a quiet fishing town, and whilst retaining its charm has developed into a lively bustling resort. The majority of the cafes, bars, tavernas and restaurants are situated around the pretty harbour. These apartments will appeal to families and couples looking for simple accommodation in a seaside location next to ones of Corfu`s favourite surfing beaches. The Katia Beach Aparthotel faces the coastline and consists of 2 buildings set in a large olive grove. There is a supermarket within 100 metres and the village is a 25 minute walk away. The local beaches offer a selection of watersports and the area is a popular choice for a holiday in Corfu. Rooms at the Katia Beach Aparthotel have a bathroom, shower, WC, kitchenette with toaster, kettle, fridge and 2 ringed cooker, air conditioning, safety deposit box, a daily cleaning service with a change of linen and towels twice a week and a balcony or terrace. Facilities at the Katia Beach Aparthotel include two swimming pools with one for children, sun terrace, sunbeds, parasols, reception and currency exchange.
Meals & Drinks...SC . The aparthotel has its own snack bar and restaurant serving cocktails, fresh meals, ice creams and breakfast.
"Katia Apartments are simply superb! Beautiful gardens surround a lovely pool area with a bar..."

Katia Apartments are simply superb! Beautiful gardens surround a lovely pool area with a bar and food service run by Alex and Joanna second to none. Too good to be true? Well it depends what you want from a Greek sunshine holiday.

Ok the apartments are a little way outside Kassiopi Village - about 20 minutes walk (there has now been a pavement built this year!) - but we think this only adds to the attraction of the peace and quiet.

We travelled with our two teenage daughters and they were quite happy to stroll into town for the nightlife, with a taxi ride back costing just 5 euros.

The Katia studios themselves are typical of Greek self catering accommodation- basic but comfortable and kept spotlessly clean, with the added attraction of a kettle and toaster in the kitchen alongside the usual 2 ring electric stove.

Alex and Joanna are the perfect hosts and will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable - the Wednesday night BBQ is a must. A short walk through the olive grove gardens will bring you to a white pebble beach with crystal clean turquoise sea.

Go to the far end of the bay and the pebbles give way to small sandy coves with a brilliant rock outcrop for diving. If you want a really relaxing, away -from- it-all Greek island holiday with great food and drink this is it!

Oh yes - and there's a pool table and table tennis too! Can't wait to go back!

"Katia beach aparthotel was a last minute change of accommodation for us by low cost beds and..."

Katia beach aparthotel was a last minute change of accommodation for us by low cost beds and we were disappointed by the change as we have stayed in Kassiopi lots of times and Katia seemed a bit far from the village.

However the holiday was fantanstic and all the more enjoyable due to Alex and Joanna who run the Katia beach accommodation. They were both fantastic and everything you need is right there.

The shingle beach is at the bottom of the garden, there is a play area for children, garden hammocks and lots of seating areas. We had breakfast there most mornings and the food is lovely.

The pool has an adult and childrens section with plenty of sun beds and cushions. Rooms are cleaned every day and are light and spacious. Alex and Joanna were very welcoming and the perfect hosts.

The village is a bit of a trek but we hired a quad which added to the fun of the holiday. All in all I would definately recommend.

Plan to return again next year and take the family with us.

We have just returned from a week at the Katia beach apartments near Kassiopi, Corfu. This was the first time we had travelled to Corfu with our children and it was a really fantastic holiday.

The accommodation was excellent, and provided everything that we needed. The pool and restaurant on site made this a very relaxing holiday and if we can we will definitely be back! Alex and Joanna made us extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble - they are really lovely people and work so hard to make everyone's stay enjoyable.

We were really pleased that we were staying at the small resort of Votana, rather than Kassiopi itself which is a bit noisy and busy, at least in the evenings. We went on some great walks - the newly made coastal path is not far away and you can walk to some gorgeous remote beaches and to some of the smaller resorts. Highly recommended.

"Just got back from a week staying at the Katia Apartments in Kassiopi. The resort itself is..."

Just got back from a week staying at the Katia Apartments in Kassiopi. The resort itself is lovely, very relaxed and quiet with plenty of cheap, decent restaurants serving anything from traditonal Greek food to Chinese. The Italian restaurant was particularly good (I think its called La Luna). Kassiopi is based around a pretty little harbour which is surrouded by bars (of which Limani is probably the best) and has a number of beaches which, although pebble as opposed to sand, are very nice.

The Katia Apartments themselves are a good 20 minute walk from the centre of Kassiopi and whilst this is good after a big meal I can see that it could get a little tiresome for some. The pool at the apartments is of a decent enough size but nothing special. Our room was very small and we were greeted by dirty towels when we arrived!! whilst they were replaced, its not something you expect in this day and age. The bathroom was the worst I have experienced in a hotel/apartment anywhere! It was tiny, dark and always damp and as with the rest of the facilities was in desperate need of a 'makeover'. The room was also supposed to provide self catering facilites but all we got was a kettle and a very old toaster which we didn't dare to use.

Overall the holiday was great and I would go back to Kassiopi again but sadly not to the Katia Apartments. (Swindon)

I have travelled to the Greek Islands 11 times and this was the worst accomodation I have ever stayed in. My children were ill with gastroenteritis and the staff tried to charge us for clean bedding when they were sick. One of the maids used our apt as a short cut, when we were in it ! The shower was broken for the last 4 days of our holiday. This was meant to be a 2 bedroom apt and turned out to be a two room studio. We would never go back. On a positive note the resort itself was lovely with excellent restaurants, particularly the three brothers and mickeys.

"Kassiopi is a truly beautiful town full of very kind people. It mostly consists of a long bu..."

Kassiopi is a truly beautiful town full of very kind people. It mostly consists of a long but not very steep main road and a small horseshoe shaped harbour. On the main road there are plenty of cheap shops and a good selection of bars and restaurants. To me it truly is a heaven on earth and nothing like the side of Corfu shown by the British media. It has plenty of late night bars where you can either sit by candle light sipping wine and watching the sun set or it has bars that you can dance the night away in. It’s a perfect mix and although it only has 1 very small nightclub I think it’s the perfect mix for both family’s and young couples. The places that I believe are worth a mention are:

Kostas Bar- Get there before 10pm to get a seat and then watch Kosta as he dances around with a table and two chairs in his teeth. Something you need to see to believe. Kosta is a very friendly man and will help anyone in anyway he can. This is very much a family bar, the drinks are cheap and all the entertainment is free.

Kabab shop- At the very bottom of the main road is a small Kabab shop (opposite the kiosk). I have no idea what they put in their kababs but they are very cheap and taste amazing.

Mickeys Bar- A large bar/Restaurant that’s about 15mins walk from the main road. It has a large screen TV that shows all the English soccer matches and has a very good selection of English food.

The Three Brothers- Or was it Two brothers? I can’t remember its name but it’s a large outdoors Greek restaurant in the harbour. Its fantastic food and at a good price. Perfect for a candlelight meal as you watch the sea rocking the boats about 20 meters from your table.

I have been to Kassiopi three times and on my last visit I stayed at the Katia beach hotel. The hotel itself is fine and I would consider using it again but it must be noted that it is a good 30mins walk to the town centre. The hotel has optional entertainment at the hotel bar such as a Greek night that consists of 1 drink and a BBQ snack. I found these nights to be very expensive at 25 Euro per person (about £100 for 5 people) and would suggest making the 30min to town or the 5 min walk up the road to the Hotel Michael Angelo that has a good bar with free quiz nights and Karaoke night.

Excellent holiday overall, kassiopi is a beautiful place, we had a lovely big swimming pool, but I think the Katia Beach Aparthotel is suited best to families, it is also quite a long walk, approx 1 1/2 miles to the centre, harbour etc, and also there is no sandy beaches in Kassiopi, so hire a car or moped, and go sightseeing, there are some lovely little coves and sandy beaches a short ride away. Weather was hot & sunny everyday (October) I've been to Corfu twice now and would go back as the scenery is breathtaking
