The Marhaba Beach is beautifully situated on the beachfront in five acres of subtropical gardens. Guests have full use of facilities at the four hotels within the complex including a great gym and tennis facilities. If an active holiday isnt for you, you may choose to lounge by one of the Hotel Marhba Beach two pools or amble down to the long, fine sandy beach. A bit further away you will discover the bustling town of Sousse, a town draped in history. If you find yourself spending some of your Dinars on the beautiful arts and crafts, why not try to win them back at the smart Sousse casino. Book the Hotel Marhba Beach and you'll have a wonderful holiday.
"Hotel Maharba Beach is adequate, but definately not 4 star, perhaps 3 star at a push. Food..."

Hotel Maharba Beach is adequate, but definately not 4 star, perhaps 3 star at a push. Food acceptable, but boring, decor frayed and tired. Nightlife and hotel entertainment a joke quite frankly and consisted of a mishmash of 1980's eurotrash a la 'Birdy Song' and various foreign Black Lace type rip-offs.

Large 'New Russian' contingent in hotel, who were extraordinarily rude to staff and other guests and made atmosphere unpleasant and stressful. Beach was nice and sea surprisingly clean, however Sousse itself was filthy, with trash flung everywhere and horrendous smells at every turn. Spent most of the time covering our noses.

Overall we didn't like Tunisia. I was expecting poverty, but not prepared for the unbelievable amount of rotting garbage and general filth everywhere. Egypt certainly wasn't this dirty and is poorer economically. I think it was more a case of total lack of respect for environment and poor standards of cleanliness than lack of money. We witnessed locals toss rubbish willy nilly several times even when bins were clearly available.

I'd recommend visiting El Jem, the Bardo Museum and Carthage, but otherwise the place is very low-brow and downmarket. We were ill most of the time with bad stomachs and infections, I don't know if this was from swimming in the pool/sea or from food in the hotel.

Sousse would probably be fine for some people, but we found it rather dissapointing and won't be returning.

When we booked the holiday we were told it was a family friendly hotel, it was recomended by the staff at going places. There was nothing for our 9 year old to do the food was the same the rep was not very helpfull at all. We only saw her three times at the welcome meeting the other two time was when i phoned to ask to see her and was told she was not in our hotel that day, the third time was when she had to return our money because a trip had been cancled. Then we come to our flight home we were dropped of at the airport and left, our flight was on time when we arrived to our shock 20 minutes after we were due to take off 10.00pm we were informed that there was a deley on our flight, a 3hr 30 min then a rumor started to go round that our plane had not taken off from manchester airport. We were then told to take our boarding cards to the sky cafe and claim free drink and a sandwhich if you wanted a hot drink you had to pay and one bottle of coke and one sandwhich, we had to pay for so what was free about that the sandwhich were dry left overs.
