The Hotel El Pueblo Tamlelt is one of two hotels set within a complex where great facilities are the main attraction. This is a lively place where youll never be short of things to do, and where a superb selection of activities and accommodating staff are on hand to keep you entertained
"My honest opinion of this holiday was not worth it, i went for two weeks all inclusive..."

My honest opinion of this holiday was not worth it, i went for two weeks all inclusive werent what it says in the brochure. Hotel was more like a 1 star all you could smell outside the room was sewage.

Entertainment was more for kids silly games. Drinks were watered down and the food well i ended up havin the runs and stomach cramps the whole time i was there.

The locals got on my nerves tying to grab you in there shops at one stage i lost my temper when i was called an english shit cos i would not buy anything.

The excursion to marakesh was a rip of are tour guard only took us to where he wanted to go so as he could get back handes of the shop keepers if the group bought anything.

In all not worth a damm penny would not go again if it was free and that is my honest opinion.

"To say the Tamlelt is 3* accommodation is unbelievable! I would rate it as 2* at best. ..."

To say the Tamlelt is 3* accommodation is unbelievable! I would rate it as 2* at best.
Having stayed in the other hotel (Caribbean village) on the complex thought I knew what we were getting..I could not have been more wrong!

ROOMS:
The 1st room they put us in was damp, smelly, the shower room was covered in mould with broken/missing tiles and the whole room was shabby and dirty.
After speaking to our rep (Stuart with Thompson’s - really nice and helpful) we were given a choice of 3 other rooms. None of them were what I would call 3* standard, all rather shabby and grotty -but we picked the best of the 3 as we didn’t wish to be faffing about with changing rooms ect all holiday!
The cleaners didn't seem to particular in our room..made the bed, threw a mop at the floor and changed the towels. The bath always seemed dirty and dusty following their so called cleaning.

COMPLEX:
The rest of the complex is lovely, really clean and well looked after. There always seemed to be handymen/cleaners about doing something. The pools (5 of them) were always clean and looked after. We did have a problem getting a sunbed of a morning (without getting up before dawn!) but it's the same no matter where you go!

FOOD & DRINKS:
The main restaurant (Oasis) was fine- Good quality and choice of food, although it can get repetitive if you are there for 2 weeks like we were.
A-la-carte resturants..we tried the steak house (not steak, but very nice) the Pizzeria (Lovely). We found that the Madame Butterfly and Orient Express were by far the 2 best a-la-carte restaurants. Madame Butterfly is advertised as being a sushi restaurant..however we found it to be more thai inspired (only 1 course of sushi-which was excellent) the food here was superb- by far the best thai we had ever tasted and the staff could not have done enough for you. The Orient Express is a chinese restaurant, and again, the quality of food was fabulous as were the staff. Both very surprising but unforgettable dining.
Good choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks in the all inclusive package - try the cocktails from the cocktail bar in the main lobby-gorgeous!

EXCURSIONS:
We booked the overnight trip to Marrakech and Essouria through Thompson’s. Although the forst day in Marrakech was VERY tiring (walking around in searing heat ALL day) it is well worth it to get a feel for this amazing city. The hotel you stay in is in the 'new side' of Marrakech and is fantastic..much much much better than the Tamlelt!!!!
The second day in Essouria is an absolute must. Such a stark difference from the busy bustling Marrakech. We did not get hassled by shopkeepers once, and the city has such a laid back and chilled atmosphere.
We also booked a morning of camel riding through Thompson. Was great fun and great value for money.
We booked a morning of horse riding through a tout on the street. At first very wary about it, but it turned out to be great value! We booked with the same company that the tour operators use, and got it for half the price! Again, brilliant fun (only if you are a good rider) although left two competent riders walking like john wayne for a few days!!!

RESORT:
Agadir itself is a lovely if not a little limited resort. We put this down to it being developed and are sure that in a few years time there will be plenty more to do. A lovely walk along the existing promenade and sitting in a beach-front bar watching the world go by is very relaxing. As we were there for 2 weeks, we did get a little bored in the last 3-4 days. Although if you enjoy lying by the pool/beach all day I’m sure this will not be the case! You do get hassled by most of the shop-keepers, however we found keeping our heads down and avoiding eye contact when we did not want to buy worked! Coming to a country such as Morocco though- this is to be expected! Good fun to haggle when you do wish to purchase anything.

OVERALL:
We had a good holiday overall, however we WOULD NOT EVER book the Tamlelt again!!! If we were to return, we would however book the other hotel on the complex (Caribbean village) as this was superb.

"We loved this hotel!! ..."

We loved this hotel!!

The hotel rooms are a little dated, however you get what you pay for and you cannot expect afric 3* to be the same as england 3*!! We found the cleanliness to be satisfactory, and rooms were cleaned on a daily basis.

The food was fantastic and there was a wide variety to cater for everyone. The theme restaurants were also great and our children loved the morrocan theme!

The entertainment staff were very enthusiastic and never failed to entertain our two girls.

All in all we thought this hotel was excellent value for money, with lovely food and drinks and great staff. We liked this hotel so much we have booked to go back next year (may 2008) and this time we will be +1 (i was pregnant this year!)
